AS part of the ECOWAS @50 celebrations, the ECOWAS Resident Representation in Liberia donated and commissioned solar power systems in six high schools in Margibi County, Kakata, Liberia, on April 26.
This is to enhance access to reliable electricity and creating a better learning environment for students in the country.
The initiative was carried out alongside a High School Quizzing Competition aimed at promoting academic excellence and increasing awareness of ECOWAS among young people.
The beneficiary schools praised the intervention for its positive impact on education and student welfare. Members of the winning team from Lingo Lippaye High School also received tablets, highlighting ECOWAS’ commitment to youth empowerment and educational development across the region.
