Afrobeat singer, David Adeleke, better known as Davido, has won the hearts of Nigerians as he honours kidnapped Nigerian schoolchildren at the World Cup concert.

While performing at the FIFA World Cup 2026 Countdown Concert in the Crypto.com Area on June 10, 2026, the superstar singer wore a custom jacket honouring victims from schools in Oyo State’s Oriire.

In videos from the event, the singer’s jacket included the names of the 39 abducted school children and 7 teachers. On the back of the jacket was written, “Bring them home”.

His activist gesture has left many praising him.
