Jamiu Olawumi, the former Special Adviser on Education to ex-Osun state governor, Gboyega Oyetola, has talked down chances of the state’s All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, defeating the incumbent governor, Ademola Adeleke, at the forthcoming election.

Olawumi affirmed that Adeleke will defeat Oyebamiji just as he defeated Oyetola.

The ex-aide of the current Minister of Marine and Blue Economy made this known at a recent interview on Rave FM.

Speaking in a clip of the interview shared on Facebook on Thursday, Olawumi labelled Adeleke a nightmare of Osun APC as he recalled how he defeated Oyetola twice.

The former APC chieftain reiterated that the governor will also crush Oyebamiji who he labelled a proxy of the minister.

“Adeleke defeated us in Osun West Senatorial Election, nine local governments. We won only one. In 2018, Adeleke defeated Oyetola at the first ballot. If Oyetola had won, there would not have been a re-run.

“He also defeated us in 2022 with over 28,000 votes. If Oyetola was fascinated to become governor again, the fear of fourth defeat stares him in the face.

“He might be looking for a proxy an he got that in AMBO and Adeleke will also crush.

“Adeleke has become a nightmare for Osun APC since 2017.” He said.

Olawumi who had since pitched his tent with the Accord Party claimed to have defected to the party on the ground of egalitarianism.

While highlighted Adeleke’s interventions and projects in the state, Olawumi held that his past criticism of the governor was based on the processes of how the projects were executed the and not the projects themselves.
