Faults Parties Primaries
- Safiu Kehinde
The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike, has faulted the primary elections of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), accusing them of deceiving Nigerians.
Wike accused both parties of exhibiting same imposition of candidates and they accused the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) of.
The FCT Minister made the allegations during his monthly media parley on Monday.
He taunted the ADC and the NDC over the disputes which ensued in the course of the primaries.
“You hear people every time talk about this party is not doing this. This party is not doing that. When we come, we are going to change the pattern, there will be no imposition.
“You’ve accused APC of imposition. You’ve accused PDP of imposition. Now you have formed your new party, a baby, a righteous, the messiah, the saviour that will come. What has happened now?
“ADC said we are the new face of democracy. NDC said this party is a party that has not been polluted in one day. It is a party that God just brought.
“What has happened? See what has happened in the NDC. As small as they are, they can’t do a primary without protest.” He said.
Wike further maintained that Nigerians now know both parties are liars with the conduct of their primaries, especially the ADC Presidential primaries which faulted by two aspirants, Mohammed Hayatu-Deen and Rotimi Amaechi.
“ADC said we are the new face of democracy. NDC said this party is a party that has not been polluted in one day. It is a party that God just brought.
“Should that not tell you that who is deceiving who? Who is coming to Nigerians to tell them lies?
“Nigerians have now know that they are all liars. You can’t be deceiving us. You have agreed that PDP is a dead party, according to you. You said APC is nothing, they cannot help Nigeria’s democracy.
“Just ordinary congress, you have three presidential aspirants. Two said this is rubbish. This is criminality of the highest order.” He added.
