Mustapha Musa-Kwankwaso, son to the former Kano State governor, Rabiu Musa-Kwankwaso has emerged as running mate to the Kano State Governorship Candidate of Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Aminu Abdussalam-Gwarzo.
This was contained in a statement by the spokesperson to the governorship candidate, Ibrahim Garba-Shuaibu, on Monday in Kano.
According to him, the selection of Hon. Kwankwaso was as a strategic and well-considered decision.
“Hon. Kwankwaso emerged as the party’s preferred choice after extensive consultations and careful consideration of several qualified individuals,” he said.
Shuaibu quoted his principal, Gwarzo expressing confidence in his running mate’s capacity to contribute meaningfully to the administration’s agenda, noting that Kwankwaso’s experience, leadership qualities, and grassroots appeal make him a valuable asset to the ticket.
According to the statement, Mustapha Kwankwaso, a former Commissioner for Youth and Sports in Kano State, brings with him extensive experience in public service, youth development, and community engagement.
“The party reaffirmed its commitment to providing a credible alternative for the people of Kano State and called on members, supporters, and stakeholders to remain united in advancing its vision of progress, transparency, accountability, and good governance,” the statement added.
