President Bola Tinubu has arrived in Abuja, the nation’s capital, where he is set to receive the All Progressives Congress (APC) 2027 presidential candidacy flag and certificate of return.
The President returned to Abuja from Lagos, where he participated in the APC presidential primary election for the 2027 general elections.
PrimeTimes Nigeria reports that Tinubu arrived in Abuja in the company of his wife, the First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu.
He was received at the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport by top government functionaries, including the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, the National Security Adviser (NSA), Nuhu Ribadu, the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, his deputy, Obafemi Hamzat, the Inspector-General of Police, Tunji Disu, and others.

The certificate of return and flag of the APC as the party’s presidential candidate for the 2027 general election will be presented to President Tinubu at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre in Abuja, following the nationwide collation of results from the APC presidential primary election.
According to a statement issued on Saturday by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the ceremony will be attended by APC governors, members of the National Executive Committee, the National Working Committee, lawmakers and other party leaders.
The presentation of the certificate and party flag formally confirms Tinubu as the APC’s presidential candidate for the next election cycle.
