Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Martins Amaewhule has expressed gratitude to his political leader, the Federal Capital Territory, FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike for his support.
This was contained in a statement he posted on his official Facebook page on Sunday morning.
DAILY POST reports that the Speaker, who is aspiring to Obio/Akpor Federal Constituency, Rivers State at the green chamber won the APC ticket on Saturday.
The statement reads, “I give huge thanks to God almighty for his grace and favour in my life. It was him yesterday! It is him today!! It will be him forever!!!
“I must also add that I lack enough words to utilize as I express my gratitude to my political leader- H. E. Excellency, Ezenwo Nyesom Wike CON for his fatherly role in my political career, all these years. May the good Lord continue to bless him and his family.
“I would never take his support for granted. He has remained a great helper. My leader, thank you for all you do for me. I say so with all my heart”.
The Speaker also thanked the good people of Obio/Akpor, affirming his resolve never to take their “confidence in me for granted. As for my Rivers people, I thank you too for your prayers and support.
“Will I ever forget my dependable colleagues. No, I won’t. Members of the 10th Rivers State House of Assembly have a special place in my heart. I thank them immensely for believing in me and standing by me”.
