Popular Nigerian comedian and skit maker Emmanuel Chukwuemeka Ejekwu, widely known as Sabinus, has criticised the administration of President Bola Tinubu over the rising cases of kidnapping and insecurity across the country.
His post follows the recent kidnapping of students and teachers by group of terrorists who stormed Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State.
In a post shared on social media, Sabinus lamented the worsening security situation, stating that ordinary Nigerians now live in fear due to the growing threat of abductions and violent crimes.
“Nigerian Government, truly you have failed us once again,” he wrote.
The comedian noted that the victims involved were civil servants, stressing that anyone could become a target of kidnappers if urgent action is not taken to address the menace.
“These are civil servants for Christ’s sake. This can be my own parents one day. If we don’t stop this act now, then we don’t know who is next,” he said.
Sabinus further expressed worry that many Nigerians now feel unsafe in their daily lives, describing the current atmosphere as one marked by fear and uncertainty.
“Everyone is living in fear and danger,” he added.
