Nollywood actress Etinosa Idemudia has reacted to the growing habit of people sharing private chats after someone dies, warning that she does not support such actions.
PrimeTimes Nigeria reports that the actress in a post on her Instagram page, spoke about how some people suddenly release old direct messages and conversations once a person passes away.
She said she finds the trend disturbing and joked that anyone who posts her private chats after her death would face consequences from beyond the grave.
Etinosa also spoke about movie producers she had contacted in the past for acting roles but who never replied to her messages.
According to her, such people should not later return to publicize her messages or claim she once asked them for opportunities after she is no longer alive.
She explained that many actors reach out to producers because they admire their work and hope to be considered for movie roles.
However, she said it would be unfair for anyone who ignored those messages to later use them for public attention after the person involved has died.
She said: “All those that post people’s DM after they kpai, if you post my Dm, I’ll wake up, I’ll slap you and I’ll go back to the grave.
“DM you didn’t reply. All the movie producers that I am telling I love your work, cast me in your film and you never answered me. Don’t come back to say ‘Oh and she said I should cast her’ after I am dead.”
