Former Big Brother Naija reality star Chizzy has tackled his colleague, Ilebaye’s father, over his recent statement.
Hours ago, her father had broken his silence on his alleged abuse of her. He recalled how he supported her in the BBN house and claimed that the reality star was influencing her siblings with drugs, wasn’t financially supporting the family and was on a self-destructive path.
Explaining the viral video, he said he hit her out of frustration and recalled how Ilebaye financially abandoned him during his medical check-up in Dubai. He also said the reality star was fighting him over the decision to divorce her mother, after initially supporting him. In his emotional tell-all, he pleaded with Nigerians to forgive and let him settle it offline.
On his Twitter page, he disagreed with her father, noting how he did more for Ilebaye with campaigns and all, only for her to block and unfollow him after winning.
He said she didn’t do it only to him, but to many of the housemates. However, that doesn’t exempt him from doing so to his daughter. Chizzy said he wouldn’t support evil or stay silent when something wrong is done.
“Ilebaye’s dad lied when he said he contributed 75% to Ilebaye’s win. I literally carried that girl on my shoulders, campaigning for her as if my life depended on it.
And ask me how she repaid me.
She blocked and unfollowed me. Not just me, she unfollowed about 75% of the housemates, too. But regardless of everything, I will never support evil or stay silent when something wrong is done.
What her father did was completely wrong”.
Also, speaking out, singer Jaywon questioned what her father expected after sending a girl child to the BBN house. He pointed out the irony of sending her to the house, yet he was complaining that she was taking hard drugs. The singer questioned how he could hurt someone to the point that her body and face were distorted, and expressed disappointment at how people were enabling and defending his abuse.
Last week that the Level Up housemate had cried out for help over an alleged domestic abuse. In a disturbing Instagram live video, she cried out to Nigerians to help her after a man was seen beating her. The reality star was assaulted so severely that her face became badly swollen.
The abuse happened at her father’s residence at Royal Anchor Estate, Wuye, Abuja, in the early hours of today, May 9th.
According to reports online, the reality star’s father locked her inside the house while he violently and physically assaulted her.
A report claimed that in 2024, Ilebaye’s mother left her husband along with her daughters after suffering years of domestic abuse. It was also reported that her father remarried while retaining custody of the boys. Ilebaye’s concern for her brothers, after learning they were not being properly cared for, prompted her to visit her father’s house to check on them. It was during her visit that he allegedly assaulted her.
Following the viral video, the FCT Police Command had arrested her father, Emmanuel Odiniya. Shortly, after his arrest, he was later released and given custody of his two sons.
