Guber primaries: I need Nasarawa APC members’ votes, not violence, says ex-NASENI EVC

A governorship aspirant on the platform of the APC in Nasarawa State, and former Executive Vice Chairman, National Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) Prof Mohammad Sani Haruna says his desire to govern the state does not worth the blood of any one.

He stated this yesterday in Akwanga local government area of the State, the headquarters of Nasarawa North Senatorial zone during megal political rally organized to galvanised support for his primary elections.

“Remember, Thursday is the day for Primary election, as we always preach, you don’t need to quarrel, you don’t need to insult, you don’t need to fight with anybody, our interest to serve the state is not worth anybody shielding his blood or fighting with anybody, because it’s only under peace , understanding that there is peace, security and love for each other” he said

The ex-NASENI boss, however cautioned his supporters not to engage in violence that may led to death or disruption of the primaries, noting that his ambition does not worth the blood of any one.

He encouraged his supporters to come out in their numbers to cast their votes for him, and stay to monitor the counting and collation of the results.

“This is my message to you. Please come out in your numbers and cast your votes. You should witness it, protect it, make sure it is counted and escort it to the collation centre.
” Do not engage in the harassment of any security man. Be there, don’t disrupt the process, don’t beat anybody, don’t insult anybody and don’t campaign at the premises of the election. Just cast your votes and watch the happenings,” he said
Haruna promised equitable distribution of the resources of the state and attraction of developments to all sectors to consolidate the gains of Governor Abdullahi Sule.

“You have promised to support me, and I also promise you that by the grace of God, I will be just and fair in the equitable distribution of resources. No section of the state, no tribe, no any reason, no sentiment will make us to deny anybody his/her own entitlement as citizens of the state.

“If you believe Governor Sule has worked selflessly to open up Nasarawa State with modern infrastructural development, then there is every need to elect another engineer in the person of Engr Mohammed Sani Haruna to continue with the developmental records of the governor,” he said
