Dr Kaumi Zulum, brother of Borno State Governor Babagana Zulum, has emerged winner of the All Progressives Congress, APC, House of Representatives primary election for Dikwa/Konduga/Mafa Federal Constituency.
The Chairman of the APC Primary Election Committee and Returning Officer, Prophet Jones Erue, announced the result on Sunday in Maiduguri, stating that Kaumi Zulum emerged unopposed.
Erue also declared Fati Alkali winner of the APC primary for Mobbar/Guzamala/Abadam/Kukawa Federal Constituency.
Usman Zannah emerged as the APC candidate for Magumeri/Kaga/Gubio Federal Constituency, while Ahmed Jaha secured the party’s ticket for Gwoza/Chibok/Damboa Federal Constituency.
In Jere Federal Constituency, Satomi Ahmed was returned as the APC candidate.
Abdulkadir Rahis emerged winner of the APC primary for Maiduguri Metropolitan Council Federal Constituency after polling 38,576 votes.
Mustapha Abdullahi also secured the APC ticket for Bama/Ngala/Kala Balge Federal Constituency with 20,509 votes.
The Askira/Uba/Hawul Federal Constituency primary election was declared inconclusive following a complaint filed by an aspirant, Audu Zali.
Erue said the committee would await the report of the appeal committee before announcing the final result for the constituency.
He added that the primaries were conducted peacefully across nine of the state’s 10 federal constituencies, with most candidates emerging through consensus arrangements.
