Nigerian socialite and businessman, Pascal Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest, has shared a heartfelt message sent to him by Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Tinubu, after losing his bid to secure the House of Representatives ticket.
NPO Reported that Cubana Chief Priest had on Saturday suffered defeat at the All Progressives Congress (APC) Primary Election held in Imo state.
The state’s coordinator of the Seyi Tinubu-led City Boy Movement lost to the incumbent lawmaker representing the Orlu/Orsu/Oru East Federal Constituency, Canice Nwachukwu Omeogo.
Cubana Chief Priest’s defeat had since sparked mixed reactions from members of the public with some mocking him, suggesting that he may have underestimated the complexities and competitiveness of Nigerian politics.
However, Seyi Tinubu, in a reel posted on his Instagram handle and reshared by the socialite on Sunday, condoled the City Boy Movement Imo Coordinator over the loss.
Tinubu urged him to keep his head up while expressing confidence in his ability.
“Bro, sometimes by losing a battle, you find a new way to win the war.
“Keep your head high. We know what you are capable of achieving.” The President’s son wrote.
Cubana Chief Priest had since conceded defeat in a subsequent post.
He however reaffirmed his support to the APC and the Tinubu-led administration.
