MR Jubril Emilagba, Chairman of Lagos Mainland Local Government Council, says sustainable national development can only be achieved through adequate investment in children and their future.
Emilagba said this in a statement issued on Wednesday in Lagos to commemorate the 2026 Children’s Day celebration.
According to him, children are the pride of any nation and future leaders whose development must remain a priority for government, parents and society.
According to him, Children’s Day serves as a reminder of the need to nurture young minds through quality education, proper moral upbringing and continuous support.
“Children’s Day reminds us of the importance of nurturing our children through quality education, proper moral upbringing and continuous support that will enable them achieve their full potential.
“Our children remain the pride of our nation and future leaders who must be guided and empowered to succeed,” he said.
Emilagba reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to continuously create conducive environment where children could grow, learn and excel.
He urged parents, guardians and teachers to continue to play their vital roles in shaping responsible and successful future leaders.
Emilagba encouraged children to remain focused, disciplined and committed to their dreams, stressing that hard work and determination would lead them to greatness.
He wished children across Lagos Mainland a joyful, peaceful and memorable Children’s Day celebration.(NAN)
