The 2023 All Progressives Congress, APC, gubernatorial candidate in Adamawa State, Aishatu Binani, has officially defected to the Nigerian Democratic Congress, NDC.
Binani announced her defection on Friday in Adamawa State.
DAILY POST recalls that the former lawmaker in July 2025 defected to the African Democratic Congress, ADC, after a strained relationship with the APC leadership in the state.
Then, by April 2026, there were further reports of a crisis, with a bloc loyal to Binani allegedly resigning from the ADC due to internal disagreements over party congresses.
