Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun has arrived at the 2026 Ojude Oba festival in Ijebuland.
Abiodun arrived at the venue of the event around 11am on Friday amid tight security.
The governor was received with cheers from the crowd as he waved at them.
As captured in a video shared on X, Abiodun made his grand appearance with a red traditional attire.
This will be Abiodun’s last outing at the event as a governor before joining the senatorial race in 2027.
NPO Reported that the governor whose second term tenure is billed to run out by next year has emerged as the All Progressives Candidate (APC) candidate for the Ogun East Senatorial District.
Abiodun is billed to replace the incumbent Senator and former governor, Gbenga Daniels, who also made an appearance at the Ojude Oba festival.
Unlike Abiodun, Daniel arrived at the venue in a blue traditional attire while exchanging pleasantries with few members of the crowd as he made his way to his reserved spot.
Also present at the event is Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Tinubu.
Seyi Tinubu who arrived with his envoy of bodyguards and security agents was dressed in an Aso Oke Dashiki with a pair of black sneakers in what could be described as a blend of culture and modernity.
