Umuahia, once regarded as a “sleeping town,” has witnessed a remarkable revival. Commercial and nightlife activities have returned, bringing renewed energy and vibrancy to the state capital.
From Express Tower through the bypass to the Nnenna Otti Bus Terminal, major roads are lined with horticultural flowers, soft landscaping and modern concrete designs that add elegance to the cityscape.
The interconnection of road networks within the city has improved movement for residents and visitors alike, both during the day and at night, while also stimulating economic activities and creating fresh opportunities for businesses.
Beyond physical infrastructure, the government’s investment in social services is evident in the establishment and upgrading of smart schools and healthcare facilities at primary and tertiary levels.
These initiatives reflect deliberate efforts to strengthen education and healthcare delivery, while improving the standard of living for the people.
