THE Ohaneze Ndigbo Worldwide has congratulated the Governors of Abia, Ebonyi, Enugu and Rivers states on the occasion of their third anniversaries in office.
The governors are Alex Otti of Abia State, Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi State, Peter Mbah of Enugu State and Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State.
The congratulatory message is contained in a statement issued on Friday in Enugu by the National Publicity Secretary of the socio cultural group, Dr Ezechi Chukwu.
According to the statement, the anniversaries provide an opportunity to acknowledge the governors’ commitments to public service and their efforts toward promoting good governance and infrastructural development.
“It also foster economic growth, peace and the welfare of their people,” it said.
The statement noted that the President-General of Ohaneze Ndigbo Worldwide, Sen. Azuta Mbata, commended the governors for their contributions toward strengthening democratic governance and fostering development within their respective states.
It added that Mbata encouraged the governors to remain focused on policies and programmes that promoted inclusive growth, social stability, accountability and improved living conditions for the people.
“Sen Mbata further noted that responsive leadership, sincere service and commitment to the public good remain vital for national unity, sustainable development and the progress of Nigeria,” the statement said.
Mbata urged the governors to continue working collaboratively in the interest of their people and the nation at large.
“Ohaneze Ndigbo Worldwide wishes Governors Alex Otti, Francis Nwifuru, Peter Mbah and Siminalayi Fubara wisdom, sound health and greater accomplishments as they continue to serve their respective states and Nigeria,” it added. (NAN)
