President Bola Tinubu on Thursday arrived in Jos, the Plateau State capital, to commiserate with the government and people of the state over recent attacks that claimed more than 28 lives.
Reports indicate that Tinubu landed at Yakubu Gowon Airport at exactly 17:00 hours and was received by Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang, APC National Chairman Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, Minister of Defence Christopher Musa, Senator Jonah Jang, Senator Simon Lalong, and other stakeholders.
Other key figures present included Senator Nora Ladi Daduut, the newly appointed Nigerian Ambassador to South Korea, and former Governor Joshua Dariye.
Several top security officials were also at the airport to receive the President, including the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu, and the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Olatunji Disu.
Tinubu is expected to meet with leaders of various communities in the state as part of efforts to find a lasting solution to the recurring attacks.
