Kehinde Adegbodu, the twin brother of late Nigerian singer Taiwo Adegbodu, has cried out following an attack from armed robbers.

In a video making the rounds online, he claimed he wasn’t around when the incident happened, but his brother’s wife and children were.

He disclosed that the robbers carted away with cash and valuables, with the intention of collecting the donations made during his brother’s burial. According to him, he said his sister-in-law called him, telling him the robbers were asking about him, Taiwo’s room, their jewellery, Taiwo’s phone, car key and others.

Kehinde revealed that the robbers thought the money Yinka Ayefele raised for them was still with him and spent 45 minutes invading their house.

“I was in Osogbo three days ago when Taiwo’s wife called me, and her voice was shaking. She said armed robbers came to the house and were saying, ‘Where is Kehinde? Where is the room of Taiwo that d!ed? Where is their jewellery? Where is Taiwo’s phone? Where is the car key? We are here because of Kehinde. We want to see him. Where is his room? The robbers took all my clothes, valuables and cash. One of the robbers called their boss on the phone, saying that I wasn’t around

I think the robbers thought that the money Yinka Ayefele raised for us was still with me. These robbers don’t even care that we are mourning. They spent over 45 minutes at our house. The money raised for us was used to develop our building project so we could bury Taiwo there. I will post my account balance so that these robbers will know there is no money there. Please don’t come and h@rm our children. I am always on the road. I don’t have money, and I don’t live a fake life. Even the car we are using was a gift. Since the incident, our kids have been living in fear; they are scared to sleep in the house”.

Kemi Filani reported earlier this month that the singer had passed away. According to reports on Facebook, the gospel singer, who is a twin, died in the middle of the night.

Taking to his Instagram page to mourn him, Muyiwa Ademola described Taiwo as one of the biggest talents he ever known. Affirming his love for him, he stated that the news weakened him.

Woli Arole had paid a condolence visit to the family. He shared an emotional visit, revealing that he spent time praying and encouraging the family. Urging his fans to put them in prayers, he expressed how much he would miss the deceased.

Yinka Ayefele was captured breaking down in tears at the Adegbodus ’ Twins’ house. The clip captured Yinka, who was in a wheelchair surrounded by men as he wept uncontrollably.

On Monday, March 31st, his family held a Wake-keep and Songs of Service for him, with his friends, lovers, and Nollywood actors in attendance. The gospel singer was laid to rest a day later, amidst tears.

Sharing a video from the wake-keep, Muyiwa Ademola paid tribute to him, noting that the world lost one of the most talented singers he has ever known. He prayed that the singer’s soul rest in peace.
