Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, has clarified the nature of his meeting with the 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, amid speculation that the it was linked to an invitation to the African Democratic Congress, ADC.
Speaking after the meeting on Thursday, Governor Mohammed declined to disclose full details of the discussions but confirmed that the engagement centred on political strategy, alignment, and possible collaboration among opposition forces.
He said “This is why we say we have to be strategic neither ADC nor PDP is left alone we are all in the opposition and that is why I said it is a political discussion.”
“I will not let you know what we have discussed in terms of the l’s and the T’s we have crossed but certainly it’s about realignment alignment and cooperation so that we can have a common platform we can not do without platform,”he stated.
