Media Take Out has some shocking news that proves love (and basketball) can be a very messy game! Just weeks after the world watched Dwight Howard and his wife Amy Luciani (aka Amber Rose) tear each other apart on social media, we are hearing that the couple has officially called a “timeout” on their divorce.

You’ll recall that Dwight filed for divorce on March 9, 2026, calling the marriage “irretrievably broken” after Amy posted a viral, tearful video alleging that Child Protective Services (CPS) had removed a child from their home and accusing Dwight of substance abuse. But as of today, April 6, 2026, sources tell us the two are back under one roof in Georgia!
The “Retirement” Connection
On March 12, just three days after filing for divorce, Dwight Howard officially announced his retirement from the NBA, hanging up his “Superman” cape for good. At the time, he said he wanted to “focus on his family” and “smile through the storm.”
Now, insiders are telling Media Take Out that the retirement was a huge olive branch to Amy.
“Dwight realized that the distance and the constant travel were killing his marriage,” a source whispered. “He decided to walk away from the game to prove to Amy that she and the kids are his top priority. They’ve been in deep talks for the last week, and they’ve agreed to put the divorce on hold to enter intensive marriage counseling.”

Addressing The “Rumors”
The reconciliation is especially surprising given the “tea” Amy was spilling last month. She hinted that Dwight—who has been open about his past relationships with men—may have been unfaithful with a male partner. While that would be a dealbreaker for most, our sources say Amy is willing to work through it.
“It’s a very modern, very unusual marriage,” the source added. “But Amy believes Dwight is her soulmate. She was hurting when she made those drug allegations, but she’s now admitting that things were blown out of proportion during a heated argument.”

A History Of “The Yo-Yo”
This isn’t the first time the couple has bounced back from the brink:
July 2025: Amy filed for divorce just six months after their January wedding. They reconciled by September.
March 2026: Dwight filed for divorce first after a “suicide threat report” and domestic disturbance call to their Suwanee home.
April 2026: They are reportedly “booed up” again and planning a “Recommitment Ceremony” for their upcoming anniversary.
Will It Last?
While the divorce is still technically on the court dockets, no further action has been taken by Dwight’s legal team. Friends of the couple say they are currently “hermiting” in their Georgia mansion, staying away from the cameras to focus on healing.
