Nollywood actress Toyin Abraham has lamented over her lack of rest since hitting a billion naira.

It is no longer news that the movie star, who has been in the industry for over a decade, topped headlines earlier this year when she joined Funke Akindele at the billionaire club of filmmakers.

On her Instagram story, Abraham said, despite the perks of such a milestone, she hasn’t been able to rest.

“Ever since I made over 1 billion, I never rest. Na like this, this level be”.

Refreshing your memory, in February, Toyin joined her colleague, Funke Akindele, at the billionaire club, as her 2025 movie, Oversabi Aunty, grosses N1 billion at the Box Office.

Hours ago, Abraham had addressed the claims by her former protege, Abike Shugga, addressing their fallout. She said she never paid the sums being speculated, insisting the figures were inaccurate.

Abike Shugga, in an eight-minute video, spoke about her working relationship with Toyin and their fallout due to her movie, Ijakumo: The Born Again Stripper. She revealed her payment structure with the actress and alleged that she was left out of the final version of the movie, despite her participation and heavy promotion.

A few days ago, Toyin was honoured with the Box Office Champion Award by the National Film and Video Censors Board for grossing over N1 billion from her Cinema movie as a debut director.

In a heartfelt note, Abraham said the recognition was a huge honour and one she will cherish. She appreciated everyone who showed her love and was genuinely happy for her.

Last year, the wife of Kolawole Ajeyemi had achieved a milestone after her 2024 cinema movie, Alakada Bad and Boujee, got ranked the 5th highest grossing Nollywood release of all time.

Silverbird honored the actress with a Trailblazer award at the 2024 Silverbird Man of the Year award for being fearless, dynamic and redefining Nollywood.

To celebrate her win, Toyin penned a heartfelt note on Instagram, noting how the award is a reminder that hard work, perseverance, and passion never go unnoticed. She noted that the journey hasn’t always been easy, but every challenge has shaped her.

In a previous post, she made it known that she was her own competition as she expressed gratitude to her fans and everyone who has supported her projects.

In other news, Abraham slammed a fan of Funke Akindele for putting down her hard work. The actress had shared a throwback photo from her photoshoot for the crew of Ijakumo, and someone had compared it to Funke’s project, questioning why she must always copy her in everything. Replying to him, Toyin expressed how tired she was of people putting down her hard work.
