 Easter: FRSC deploys personnel to ease Lokoja gridlock

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has deployed additional personnel to address a traffic gridlock on the Lokoja-Abuja Expressway.

In an update issued on its official Facebook page on Thursday, the Corps Marshal, Malam Shehu Mohammed, gave the directive following a crash involving a truck and a bus at a failed portion of the road.

Mohammed said that the incident occurred at Banda, before Murtala Bridge, and resulted in heavy congestion along the corridor.

The FRSC boss said the crashed vehicles that contributed to the gridlock had been towed off the road to restore normal traffic flow.

He however, urged motorists to exercise patience and cooperate with FRSC personnel and other security operatives managing the situation.The corps marshal also advised road users to comply with all traffic regulations to ensure safety and ease of movement.

The FRSC chief reiterated the Corps commitment to ensuring safe and smooth vehicular movement on highways across the country. (NAN) (www.nannnews.ng)
