Bhad Bhabie is shutting down claims that she lied about having cancer.
The rapper and internet personality, whose real name is Danielle Bregoli, responded to the speculation in a series of Instagram Stories, where she shared photos of her medication and medical paperwork.
“If I’m lying about having cancer for money explain to me why I’m being prescribed this medication and paying 5K a month for it?” she wrote.
Alongside the message, Bhad Bhabie posted what appeared to be a prescription showing a monthly cost of $5,203.91 for Scemblix, a medication commonly prescribed to treat chronic myeloid leukemia.
In another post, she shared paperwork that described the drug as a medicine used to slow the growth of cancer cells.
“Oh wow it’s used for cancer I been saying I had yall said I was lying about,” she wrote. “And please believe no dr is prescribing this medication to someone for no reason. It literally gets delivered in a biohazard bag.”
“Do u know what this medication would do to someone that doesn’t actually have cancer??” she added.
Bhad Bhabie also rejected the idea that she could profit from her diagnosis.
“How exactly do u monetize off having too many white blood cells?” she wrote. “Asking for a friend.”
The 23-year-old first rose to fame after appearing on Dr. Phil in 2016 and later launched a music career with songs including “Gucci Flip Flops.”
