A country’s currency is not just money—it reflects its culture, history, and identity. From printing to security and design, every country pays close attention to how its banknotes are made. These features are also updated from time to time.
There is an organization called the International Bank Note Society that selects the best banknote each year from around the world. The selection is based on factors like artistic value, design, color, and security features. For 2025, IBNS released a list of the 10 most beautiful currency notes.
Brazil – 100 Real
Brazil’s official currency is the Brazilian Real (BRL). One side of the note shows the “Effigy of the Republic,” a national symbol. The other side features native animals like the jaguar and golden lion tamarin.
