Megan Thee Stallion’s New Anime “Hotties” Has Fans Confused About One… Unusual Superpower

Megan Thee Stallion is expanding her entertainment empire again — this time stepping into the world of animation.

The rapper is reportedly launching a new anime-inspired series called “Hotties,” and Media Take Out got an early look at the project.

Let’s just say… it’s definitely different.

THE SUPERPOWER: THE “SUPER TWERK”

In the animated series, Megan voices a character whose signature superpower is what the show calls a “super twerk.”

When the character unleashes the move, it sends out powerful shockwaves that cause chaos around her enemies.

Think superhero energy… but very on-brand for Megan.

The problem?

The way the animation is designed, the explosive effect of the power has some viewers scratching their heads.

FANS SAY THE EFFECT LOOKS… ODD

Because of how the animation illustrates the blast effect behind the character, some early viewers joked online that the energy burst looks less like a superhero move and more like something involving powerful flatulence.

Yes. That kind of joke.

It may not have been the intention, but the internet quickly noticed the unusual visual choice.

DEFINITELY NOT A KIDS’ SHOW

Another thing that stood out from the preview is the character design.

Megan’s animated alter ego wears a revealing outfit that is very much in line with her real-life stage persona. Between the styling, the twerking-based power, and the adult humor vibe, this does not appear to be a show aimed at younger audiences.

Instead, it looks like the project is leaning into adult animation — closer in tone to edgy streaming anime rather than Saturday morning cartoons.

MEG’S ENTERTAINMENT TAKEOVER

Megan has been steadily expanding beyond music into television, film, and digital content. From acting roles to producing projects, the Houston rapper has made it clear she wants to build a full entertainment brand.

An anime project actually fits right into that strategy. The genre has exploded globally, and artists across music and film are increasingly partnering with animation studios to reach new audiences.

INTERNET REACTION

Early reactions to the concept have been mixed.

Some fans love the idea of Megan bringing her larger-than-life persona into animation form. Others are still trying to figure out the physics of the “super twerk.”

Either way, one thing is certain.

If the goal was to get people talking, Megan Thee Stallion’s anime has already succeeded.
