Joe Budden is being honest about his recent weight loss and the role medication has played in his health reset.
During an appearance on Club Shay Shay, the 45-year-old spoke with host Shannon Sharpe about his experience using Zepbound. When Sharpe brought up Ozempic, Budden was quick to correct the record. “I’m not on Ozempic. I’m on Zepbound,” he said. “This week will start my third week. I love it.”
Budden said the changes were immediate and hard to ignore. “I was trying to get dressed and put something on and come here and I couldn’t fit in nothing,” he shared. “I lost a lot of weight.”

While he credited Zepbound with helping him drop around 20 pounds, Budden stressed it was not the whole story. He explained that dietary changes and updated workouts kickstarted his progress before he ever took the medication. “This was just supposed to be a extra oomph,” he said, noting he is now under 220 pounds after being over 240.
Looking ahead, Budden said his comfort zone sits around 210 to 215 pounds. “Anything less than that, I wouldn’t feel comfortable being outside,” he joked.
He ended with a serious reminder about health. “We’ve lost too many people,” Budden said. “Go get everything checked. It’s annoying, but it’s that important.”
Fans have called Budden out, as he previously blasted former co-host Melyssa Ford, who once admitted to taking Ozempic for a few weeks.
