Police arrest three over car theft, recover vehicles
Operatives of the Nigerian Police Force, Delta State Command have apprehended a three-man armed robbery gang that specializes in car snatching and recovered twelve vehicles.
Bright Edafe, the command’s public relations officer, disclosed this in a post shared on his X handle on Wednesday.
Edafe mentioned that the suspects go as far as changing vehicle chassis and engine numbers and deactivating vehicle tracking devices installed in the cars.
Edafe wrote, “The above suspects are a very notorious car-snatching syndicate apprehended by the Command.
“The three of them are specialists in removing cars from where they are parked; they even go as far as changing vehicle chassis and engine numbers and deactivating vehicle tracking devices installed in the cars.
“A total of twelve suspected vehicles have been recovered from the Warri and Sapele areas.
“For those whose vehicles were stolen from these areas, please go to the Orerokpe police station for possible identification.”
