The Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Media and Public Communications, Sunday Dare, has donated N50,000 each to the 25 rescued schoolchildren abducted from schools in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State.
The donation was announced during Dare’s visit to the families of the rescued pupils in Ibadan.
According to Dare, the 25 pupils who have been discharged from the hospital and reunited with their families each received N50,000, while the remaining 14 pupils still undergoing medical care will receive the same amount after they are medically cleared.

Before being reunited with their families, the rescued pupils and their teachers were received by Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde at the Government House in Ibadan.
The victims were abducted on May 15, 2026, following an attack by gunmen on three schools in Oriire Local Government Area.
NPO reports that the pupils and their teachers spent 56 days in captivity.
