Indonesia is not only a popular destination for Indian tourists but is also attracting attention in India because of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit. Many people are searching for information about the country, especially its currency and cost of living. If you are planning a trip to Indonesia, it is useful to understand how the local currency compares with the Indian rupee. The Indian rupee is much stronger than the Indonesian rupiah in terms of exchange value.
How Much Is Rs 55,000 Worth in Indonesia?
If an Indian traveller carries Rs 55,000 to Indonesia, it converts to around 10,374,543 Indonesian rupiah. Although this may make someone feel like a millionaire because of the large number of rupiah received, everyday goods and services in Indonesia are also priced in thousands or even millions of rupiah. So, the high currency value does not necessarily mean a lower cost of living.
