The Police Service Commission (PSC) has dropped the names of successful applicants for the recruitment of 50,000 Police Constables into the Nigeria Police Force.
This was announced in a statement issued on Wednesday by the commission’s Head of Protocol and Public Relations, Tony Kalu.
According to the statement, the release of the list follows the successful completion of a transparent, inclusive and merit-based recruitment exercise conducted in collaboration with the Nigeria Police Force, the Federal Character Commission, the Ministry of Police Affairs, State Career and Counselling Departments, and the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC).
Applicants who participated in the Computer-Based Test (CBT) are advised to visit the official recruitment portal from Thursday, July 16, 2026, to check their application status.
Successful candidates will also receive notifications via their registered email addresses and phone numbers.
Candidates offered provisional admission are to report to their designated Police Training Institutions on dates to be announced for documentation and medical screening, with all required credentials and other documents specified on the recruitment portal
Meanwhile, the PSC warned that candidates who fail to report within the stipulated time will be considered to have declined the offer.
In addition, those who fail the medical examination that would be conducted by the Police Medical Team on resumption of training will be declared unfit and shall be required to leave the training.
Candidates are to report with their training call-up slip, NIN slip, BVN slip, original and photocopies of their certificates and other required documents and items as would be listed in the recruitment portal.
In his remark, the Chairman of the Commission, DIG Hashimu Salihu Argungu (rtd), thanked President Bola Tinubu for approving the recruitment of 50,000 Police Constables as part of measures to strengthen the nation’s security architecture.
Argungu charged the successful candidates to see this opportunity as a clarion call to serve the nation with dignity, integrity and unwavering commitment to a safe and secured Nigeria.
