ABUJA, Nigeria — President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has declared that poverty has no place in a country as young and resourceful as Nigeria, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to implementing policies aimed at improving the living standards of citizens and driving sustainable economic growth.
According to reports and Trending Video, the President made the remarks while addressing stakeholders at a government event, where he emphasized the need for collective efforts to build a more prosperous nation. Tinubu said Nigeria possesses abundant human and natural resources that, if properly managed, can significantly reduce poverty and create opportunities for millions of citizens.
He stressed that despite the country’s economic challenges, his administration remains focused on reforms designed to strengthen the economy, encourage investments, expand infrastructure, and create jobs for young people. The President noted that Nigeria’s youthful population should be viewed as a strategic advantage rather than a burden.
“Nigeria is still a young nation, and poverty is not acceptable,” Tinubu said, adding that government policies are aimed at ensuring inclusive growth and improving access to education, healthcare, agriculture, and entrepreneurship.
