Residents of Osogbo, Osun state’s capital city, have been thrown into a state of panic as multiple gunshots rang in the air.
This marked the latest in the ongoing violent attacks happening across the state ahead of the August governorship election.
The multiple gunshots could be heard in a video shared on X on Monday.
While the cause of the shooting is still currently unknown, the gunfire at Old Garage in Osogbo however stirred unrest in the capital city as commercial vehicles could be seen fleeing from what appeared to be the scene of the gun duel.
The resident who recorded the clip decried the surge in political violence in Osun ahead of the gubernatorial election.
“Political crisis in this place is getting scarier.” He said.
