Jason Lee is challenging the rush to blame Klay Thompson for his reported breakup with Megan Thee Stallion.
The Hollywood Unlocked founder addressed the former couple during an appearance on The Truth After Dark Podcast, where he argued that Thompson’s reputation does not match the scandal surrounding the split.
“I’ve owned Hollywood Unlocked for almost 11 years, and Klay Thompson’s never been in a scandal ever,” Lee said. “So why is he in a scandal and why are we scandalizing him when we don’t know the situation?”
Lee acknowledged that he does not know what happened between Megan and the NBA star but he questioned why Thompson became “the bad guy” after Megan reportedly said he cheated.
“He’s yet to defend himself. Why?” he asked, adding, “I went on my show and said, ‘This is fake. It ain’t going to last.””
Lee says that he was still a fan of the coupling.
“I actually loved them together,” Lee said. “I liked how he was treating her, how she was treating him,” going on to say, “At some point, when I say this person’s the problem, this person’s the problem, I’m the common denominator.”
“I want her to find happiness,” he added. “But I don’t know that I would use her as the example.”
