Renowned Osun state monarch, Timi of Ede, Oba Munirudeen Adesola Lawal, has accused the All Progressives Congress, APC, of orchestrating the power outage in the town as he threatened to curse the party if they pay him a visit to his palace for campaign.

Oba Munirudeen made the allegation while speaking at the commissioning of the Akoda-Oke Gada Road dualisation project on Tuesday.

Speaking in Yoruba in a video clip of his address posted on X, the monarch accused the APC of being responsible for the current power outage in the town.

Meanwhile, Oba Munirudeen debunked claim of running away during the APC’s campaign for its governorship candidate ahead of the August election, Bola Oyebamiji, in the town.

He expressed readiness to host the APC candidate with threat to curse him and the party.

Meanwhile, the Timi of Ede and several members of the town had widely rallied behind the re-election bid of the incumbent governor of the state, Ademola Adeleke, who is an Ede indigene.
