The 2027 African Action Congress (AAC) Presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore, has revealed how Femi Gbajabiamila, the Chief of Staff to the President, got his United States legal practising license revoked over alleged theft of $25,000 from a client.
Sowore made the allegation while reacting on the COS’ alleged involvement in the establishment of a fake presidential council.
NPO Reported that Gbajabiamila had last week come under public spotlight following a bribery allegation by Adeniyi Matthew, the self-acclaimed Director-General of the Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC).
Adeniyi had accused the COS of receiving N400 million bribe from him which Gbajabiamila denied while also disassociating himself from the agency.
The presidency had in the wake of the allegation declared the council fake with Adeniyi labelled an impostor.
Reacting during address to newsmen at the Abuja Federal High Court on Monday, Sowore labelled Gbajabiamila a member of a gang of thieves as he recounted doing a story on how he got his license revoked in the Atlanta, Georgia over alleged theft.
“The Chief of Staff is a member of a gang of thieves, and I can say that categorically because I was the one who exposed when he stole $25,000 from a client in Atlanta, Georgia, when he was a lawyer and his legal profession certificate was revoked as a result of that.
“That is how Gbajabiamila ended in Nigeria.” He said.
Sowore further alleged that the COS sent the chairman of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), Abike Dabiri-Erewa, to him, demanding that the story be pulled down.
“To add a secret today, when I wrote that story, he asked Abike Dabiri to call me and ask if I could help him take down the story.
“I said no because I’m writing for history. Today, we know where he is coming from. If I had compromised myself and taken down the story, you will not know that he is a thief.” He said.
