A PREMIUM TIMES investigative report has uncovered additional details about the alleged failed coup plot involving some military officers accused of planning to overthrow the administration of President Bola Tinubu last year.
According to the report, confidential documents obtained during the investigation detailed the alleged conspirators’ preparations, including the allocation of responsibilities, the use of coded language, logistical planning and discussions on a proposed transition arrangement that would have taken effect if the operation had succeeded.
The investigation reportedly comprises more than 7,400 pages of evidence, including statements by suspects, bank records, handwritten notes, alleged records of secret conversations and other documentary exhibits.
