Giraffes at Belfast Zoo enjoyed being cooled down on Thursday as the heatwave continues.
Temperatures were expected to reach up to 28C in some areas of Northern Ireland as the region continues to bask in sunshine.
As many families headed to the beach to cool off, the residents of Belfast Zoo were enjoying some cold treats.
There were ice pops for the chimps and meerkats and ice blocks for the gorillas, and the giraffes basked in a sprinkling of cold water from hoses.
Temperatures are expected to drop to the low 20Cs this weekend.
