An Oyo State High Court in Ibadan on Friday dissolved the marriage between Olukunle Adelola and Remi Adelola on the grounds of irretrievable breakdown.
Justice Mojisola Sule said the petitioner, Remi, had in 2025 sought the dissolution of the marriage, which was contracted on June 13, 2018.
Remi said the marriage, which did not produce any children, had broken down irretrievably.
Justice Sule granted the petitioner’s prayer, considering the fact that the parties had lived apart for more than two years.
As the respondent did not oppose the petition, the judge dissolved the marriage pursuant to Section 15 of the Matrimonial Causes Act.
