Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has expressed strong confidence ahead of the upcoming governorship election in the state.
He urged residents to disregard rumours and political intimidation being circulated ahead of the polls, insisting that his administration remains focused on securing another term through the ballot.
Adeleke stated that there is no cause for alarm regarding fears of electoral violence or manipulation. He assured the public that measures have been put in place to ensure a peaceful and credible election where every eligible voter can freely participate.
According to him, “We shall win convincingly and we shall be declared winner with wide margins.”
The governor maintained that his supporters are fully prepared for the election and remain committed to protecting their votes.
He added that “our people exercise their voting rights without any hindrance” and emphasized that the will of the people would not be compromised. He further insisted that “our votes will count and we shall emerge victorious.”
Adeleke also addressed concerns over alleged attempts to destabilize the electoral process, warning against any move capable of disrupting peace in the state. He said Osun people are united and alert, adding that they will resist any attempt to manipulate the outcome of the election.
He noted that security agencies and election officials are being closely watched to ensure compliance with electoral guidelines.
In a strongly worded remark, the governor said, “No one can deny Osun people their legitimate rights to choose their leaders.”
He also declared that the state will not be turned into a theatre of violence, stressing that stakeholders are committed to maintaining order before, during, and after the election.
