A video of a police officer recorded drinking alcohol on duty has reignited discourse over the misconduct of the Nigeria Police Force personnel in the public.
The yet-to-be identified officer was seen in the now viral video drinking from a bottle of alcohol offered to him by two occupants of a vehicle he flagged down for check at a yet-to-be confirmed location.
The driver of the vehicle who recorded the video posted on X on Wednesday requested to take a sip from the drink confirmed to be brand of Henessey, before offering back to the officer.
Meanwhile, the driver had in the video stuck out his tongue which was blueish in colour, indicating possible abuse of drug.
His colleague was also seen requesting the officer’s account details.
The video had since sparked mixed reactions from netizens as some calling out the Force over the misconduct of the officer while others faulted the driver for offering the officer the drink while also recording him.
