Popular Nigerian broadcaster, Kitan Oyesiku, has been murdered alongside her security guard in Ogun State.
Some yet-to-be-identified gunmen were reported to have stormed Oyesiku’s residence in Kobape area of Abeokuta, the state’s capital city, on Sunday, killing her security guard at the gate before advancing into the house to murder the former staff member of Ogun State Television (OGTV).
Meanwhile, details surrounding the circumstances of the killing of the retired broadcaster popularly known as Aunty Kitan remain sketchy, while the motive behind the attack has yet to be established.
The late Oyesiku was well known in media circles, having served with Ogun State Television (OGTV) before her retirement.
News of her death had since sparked grief among colleagues, friends, and residents of the state.
