The Oyo State Police Command has commenced rescue operation for the abducted sister of former Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu.
NPO earlier Reported that the woman, identified as Mrs. Olaide Busayo Adegoke, was abducted alongside her twin sons at Elewura area of Ibadan.
The incident, as confirmed in a family statement issued by Adelabu, occurred around 7:30am on Wednesday.
Adegoke was abducted while on her way to drop her children to school.
Video made available to NPO Reports showed the woman’s car left in the middle of the road with its doors open.
While also confirming th3 incident to our correspondent, the Oyo Police Command Control Centre disclosed that rescue operation has been initiated with personnel deployed across the area in search for the victims.
“Action has been taken and it’s still ongoing. Our men are on top of it.
“They are everywhere searching.” The Oyo Police said.
They disclosed that an official statement and update on the incident will be released soon.
According to the family, Mrs. Olaide Busayo Adegoke John-Paul is the youngest of the five children of Mrs. Olufunmilayo Aduke Adegoke Adelabu.
Until her voluntary retirement last year, she had served meritoriously at both the Central Bank of Nigeria and First Bank Pension Custodian.
Following her retirement, she relocated to Ibadan with her children while making preparations to eventually join her husband, Mr. John Paul, who had earlier relocated to the United States of America.
