A wedding reception in Warri, Delta state, was abruptly disrupted after a POP ceiling collapsed inside the event venue, forcing guests to flee for safety.
A video of the incident, which has since circulated widely on social media, captured the moment sections of the ceiling gave way, sending debris crashing onto the reception area and triggering panic among attendees.
Guests were seen scrambling out of the hall to avoid being hit by the falling materials as the celebration came to an immediate halt.
There was no immediate official confirmation on the cause of the collapse.
Authorities had also not issued a statement on the incident as of the time of filing this report, while it remained unclear whether anyone sustained injuries.
