G7 Summit 2026: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will arrive in Evian, France, on Tuesday, June 16, to participate in the G7 Summit in the final leg of his two-nation visit. Upon arrival in the French city, French President Emmanuel Macron will formally welcome him, following which PM Modi will attend a working session during the summit titled, “Forging New Partnerships and Rebuilding International Solidarity.”
PM Modi will participate in the summit alongside G7 nations’ leaders, partner countries and representatives of key international institutions such as the World Bank and the African Development Bank. The bilateral talks are expected to focus on economic challenges across the world, foreign cooperation, and sustainable development.
Trade talks, meeting with Trump & key bilateral meetings on agenda
On the sidelines of the G7 summit, PM Modi is expected to hold bilateral meetings with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, and UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. He is also likely to meet US President Donald Trump.
The White House has confirmed the participation of Donald Trump in the G7 Summit and his meeting with PM Modi on June 17. Progress on a proposed India-US trade deal is expected to be discussed during their meeting.
