NATIONAL Boundary Commission (NBC) says it remains committed to national unity in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu.
The Director-General of the commission, Mr Adamu Adaji, said this in a congratulatory message to all Nigerians on the occasion of the 2026 Democracy Day celebration in Abuja.
The message was contained in a statement issued by Chinwe Udouwem, Head of information and Press unit of the commission on Friday in Abuja.
Adaji said, “Under the leadership of president Bola Tinubu, and vice president Kashim Shettima, Nigeria continues to strengthen democratic institutions aimed at fostering national integration, security and development across the country.
“I extend warm felicitations to all Nigerians as we celebrate 27 years of uninterrupted democratic governance, national unity, and peaceful coexistence,
“This day reminds us of the sacrifices made by patriotic Nigerians in the struggle for democracy and the collective responsibility we all share in sustaining peace, Justice, and national development,” the director-general said.
According to him, the NBC recognises that peaceful boundary management remains vital to national stability, good governance, and harmonious relations among communities and neighbouring countries.
He said the commission remained committed to the peaceful resolution of boundary issues and promotion of cross-border cooperation.
The NBC boss urged Nigerians to continue to uphold the values of peace, tolerance, dialogue,and patriotism for the progress and prosperity of the nation.(NAN)
