Apostle Johnson Suleman, the general overseer of Omega Fire Ministries International has called on President Bola Tinubu to resign if his administration cannot effectively address Nigeria’s worsening insecurity.
Suleman made the statement during a sermon in his church, where he spoke on the growing wave of terrorist, bandit, and kidnapping attacks across the country.
He argued that the major challenge facing Nigeria is not the strength of the security agencies but the alleged sponsors of violent groups, insisting that those funding terrorism should be the primary targets of security operations.
According to him, tackling the financiers of terrorism would be more effective than focusing only on the armed perpetrators.
“The sponsors of terrorism are our real problem. Go after them. If the President cannot deal with them, he should resign, let somebody else do it,” he said.
The cleric further praised Nigeria’s security forces, describing the military, police, and the Department of State Services (DSS) as among the best in the world based on his personal experience.
However, he maintained that their effectiveness is being undermined by the continued support and funding of criminal networks by powerful individuals.
