APGA candidate-elect pledges to prioritize infrastructure in Ojo Federal Constituency

The All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) candidate-elect for Ojo Lagos State Federal Constituency, Mr Onwurah Nduka Felix, has assured the people of his constituency that he would focus and improve on the social infrastructure in the area if elected in 2027.

Onwurah, a grassroots politician, made the assurance while speaking with newsmen in Lagos ahead of the elections.

The candidate, elected by the party’s Lagos State delegates in May, said that, with improved infrastructure in the area of education, healthcare, security and transport. He added that investments that would foster and create jobs, engage youths and security would be assured.

“My venture into politics is not to learn the job but to deliver service to the good people of Ojo.

“An improved infrastructure in education, electricity power, healthcare and youth vocational skills acquisition will change the orientation of the people toward governance and attract investment flow.

“My victory at polls in the forthcoming election will bring a sanguine social mobilisation to bear in Ojo,” he said.

He thanked the party leadership for his emergence and promised to carry everyone along if elected. He appealed to the party to work hard at the grassroots to win more members for the party and more people sympathetic to the party to vote for the party at the polls.

Speaking after the party’s primaries held at the party’s secretariat at Igboelrin Lagos State, the Returning Officer for the primaries, Mr Johnson Ololade, affirmed the candidancy of Onwurah Nduka.

According to him the outcome of the primary election participated by 34 party delegates from the eleven wards of the constituency; was free and fair.

“The election, is a prerequisite for the forthcoming general elections, in line with the Federal Electoral Act and the party’s detects.

“The party has through its delegates expressed its intention in the candidacy of Onwurah Nduka Felix as its flagbearer for the Ojo House of Representative in the forthcoming general elections.

“With this the party and the candidate have fulfilled very important electoral requirements ahead of the election,” he said.

Also speaking on the election, APGA State Organising Secretary, Mr Emmanuel Ona, said the choice of Onwurah was an expression of harmony in the party for his election and attendant affirmation resonated in all shed of interest in the party.

“With his social-political pedigree in Ojo, I am optimistic that the APGA candidate will emerge victorious.

“His business name Flex is a household name in Ojo, his service and philanthropical stance in rendering needed community assist is his selling point.

“He has single handedly built and handover a police station and gave out one of his buildings to be used as a community healthcare centre to improve on the security and health of the people,” he said

Mr Emmanuel Onochie, Ijanikin Ward Chairman, said the emergence of the party’s candidate, signified the party’s readiness to turn things around for the better in the federal constituency.

Onochie, described Onwurah as a grassroots person whose inter personal relationship with others endears him to many.

“We are going to reactivate the party’s grassroots structure to encourage many non-party members to support this ambition that will bring impactful representation,” he said.
