Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, and some members of the Accord Party are feared to have sustained varying degrees of injuries following a sudden collapse of the stage at the party’s campaign on Wednesday.
The incident, which occurred at Ijebu-Ijesha triggered concerns as the crowd present at the campaign ground scampered for safety.
Video of the incident shared on X captured moment the podium came down crashing moment after Adeleke stood from his seat.
While no statement has been issued by the state government over the condition of the governor, some sources claimed he was taken to the hospital for first aid treatment.
However, the development had since sparked mixed reactions from the public with some netizens trolling the governor while others showed concern and expressed solidarity with the governor.
